i have eyes

Right in time for oddly cool temperatures in Fort Lauderdale, Madison got a modified schnauzer cut. It is in the 70's during the day, and drops to the 50's at night. It's actually chilly. H-Mom has been saying "freezing" a lot, but that is silly. She was born in Wisconsin and lived in Chicago for decades. Since when did 50 become "freezing?"

Madison seems to feel great, though. She is frisky and acting not-at-all naked.

What was hiding behind those straggly puppy eyebrows? Madison has eyes, intense brown, serious, intelligent eyes.

She was a dream at the groomer - Continental Pet in Fort Lauderdale - a perfect regal little, I-have-good-bloodlines puppy. She even posed on the grooming table while she was being clipped.

She looks beautiful, and is turning heads everywhere we go. Her long legs and lean body look perfect.

H-Mom thought that the clip might reduce the dust-mop effect post-dogpark, though. Not a chance. This morning, when Madison got up from her nap, there was an outline of park-grit in the shape of a snoozing puppy.

The Miele will now stay out of the closet.

Madison looks great! For awhile I couldn't get through to your blog, I thought it might have been hacked because it kept saying this blog has moved. I was so confused!

Ooooh, she looks lovely and sounds like an extraordinarily well behaved baby.

You asked why my dogs won't play outside much without me. Newfoundlands are big time people dogs. They love people even more than other dogs. Katie, Louie, my husband and I are a very tightly bonded pack. We would be together 24/7 if we didn't have to work :-)

Are you planning on getting your little girl spayed? If so please don't make the mistake I did with Katie and have it done too young. I found out too late that the growth plates on the large breeds don't close until around 15-18 months. They need those hormones to develop properly and reduce the risk of bone cancer and ACL tears later in life. You may already know this, but I didn't want to forget to mention it.

Kisses to Madison.

Great haircut Madison. You looks so mature now. But I hope that you didn't have to get the dreaded bath. I hate that. Glad you are enjoying the cooler weather - it makes me feel skippy.

We like the new 'do, Madison. Very sleek and sophisticated, as a gallery manager should have to greet her public.
