Terrible terrible terrible week

Madison is on strike. She didn't eat (almost) for three days. Barely drank a thing. Wouldn't sleep, just stared at the door. At the dog park, with Man-dad, she laid in the dirt pit and studied the park gate. Madison has been depressed, out-of-sorts, mopey and sad.

What's up?

H-Mom has gone back to school. She is studying to get her CIW, so she can be a certifiable Webmistress of the Internet. Now, this is a good thing.

But not for a dog, who has been attached to H-Mom every day, every minute, almost, since she first came to live here one year ago.

It's been a rough week. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, H-Mom is gone all day long. Argh. Wait until she finds a "Job" job ...

Can Madison vote for that thing called "Freelance From Home?"

Oh...that's hard. We hate it when SHE has to drive into work all day. Sometimes she can work at home and that makes everyone happy. Including her! I hope you get lotsa lovin from yer mom when she comes home.

Madison,

We're so sorry you're sad and missing you mom.

We miss our pawrents when they're off at work as well, but having Calvert with me to spend the time makes it a bit easier (Just a bit, he's still a PAIN at times ;-0)

Our mom has a trick for making us eat even when she's not around; she makes a lovely chicken broth to add to our kibble. Just a little tempts us into eating all our food.

We wish you lived closer so you could come and join us when you're on your own.

Think of all the love and treats you'll get when she is with you this weekend, that alone should make you feel tons better; we hope.

Maybe it's time for a trip to Ol' Poke 'n Stick? Three days of anorexia AND decreased water consumption is worrisome.

Sure hope you feel better-

Poor Baby! That's terrible, Madison! I don't know WHAT I would do if £1 went away to work instead of to the study.

Gee Madison, we're so sorry you're feeling the lonesomes and depresseds.

We're lucky 'cause our Mom works from home -- and when she has to leave us for a few hours, we've figured out that she'll be back.

After a while, we bet you'll figure it out too -- although we do hope that you're not suffering from anything else.

Is there a pet sitter who could come visit and take you for a walk (and perhaps wear H-Mom's perfume)???

Wirey woofs,

Jake and Just Harry
